ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION FOR ETHICS AND AUDIT
The International Foundation for Ethics and Audit (IFEA) is a non-profit organization that supports high-quality, international audit, assurance, quality management, and international ethics and independence standards for professional accountants in the public interest. It does so through its two standard-setting boards, the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) and the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA). These boards develop and issue their standards and related pronouncements independently and under their own authority.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a highly motivated undergraduate or graduate student to work with IFEA full-time, for 8 weeks from June 1, 2026 to July 24, 2026. The intern will be working within our IAASB team. The IAASB is an independent standard-setting board that sets high-quality international standards for auditing, assurance, and quality management that strengthen public confidence in the global audit and assurance profession.
As an intern, you will gain valuable experience working in an international environment and learning from colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The IAASB’s work environment is fast-paced and collaborative. Adaptability and a willingness to learn are essential. The Summer intern will work under the supervision of management, work closely with IAASB Staff, and is expected to take initiative, work independently when appropriate, and adapt to evolving project needs. This will be a hybrid position with both in-office and at-home work. This is a paid position with an hourly rate of $25-$30 (Primary Location – NYC).

- Supporting and conducting research and analysis for staff-driven standard-setting projects, and organizing information into clear, accessible formats for internal use or presentation.
- Contributing to the development and circulation of IAASB project materials, such as project plans, technical papers, and guidance documents.
- Assisting with internal and external stakeholder engagement activities, including meetings and communications with audit firms, regulators, jurisdictional standard-setters, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Advancing IAASB project objectives through coordination of activities, project management, and support for events and meetings.
- Assisting with meeting minutes and documentation, website updates and social media content development related to IAASB activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and graduating in 2027 or 2028.
- Knowledge of Accounting and/or Finance preferred.
- Excellent research and analysis skills.
- Self-starter with an agile mindset, comfortable navigating ambiguity and communicating progress.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage projects and work independently.
- Flexible, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom), as well as social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn).
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude, willing to take on projects and ask questions as needed.
